Traffic Safety Committee

School Initiatives

Our school put together a Traffic Safety Committe in 2013, including parents, Board of Management and teachers to look at the difficulties and dangers faced by our students in coming to school, and how they might be solved.

We conducted a survey of parents about how the drop their child to, and collect their child from school. The results of that survey are available to download here.

We hold a Traffic Safety Week annually in school.

All of our pupils receive a free Hi Vis Vest
and are expected to wear it to & from school each day.

We learn the Safe Cross Code also.

Our school is now working in conjunction with the National Roads Authority (NRA), Bray Town Council and An Taisce, along with our neighbouring schools to try to come up with safe solutions to the traffic and safety issues experienced at drop off and collection times.
