Dear Parents / Guardians,

With the new school term well underway various activities are being gradually stitched into our routine. Our 3rd classes have now begun their Cycling Skills course, our afterschool club Crokidz is underway and we are collating the requests for places for our other after school activities.

Your interest in our parent information programme has been very positive for
Beginners Irish for Parents (45), Chinese Culture, Calligraphy and Mandarin (25), IT Sessions on using Studywiz with your child and learning more about Internet Safety (70), Information on my Child's Curriculum (80).

The support of parents to help us maintain high levels of cleanliness and hygiene on all classrooms has been very welcome. To date over 70 people have volunteered and we will be setting up a rota shortly. Our Parents' Activities Committee (PAC) has held its first meeting with many new parents in attendance. More information will be provided as soon as we have the finer details of these various activities in place.

(You can see what the Parents' Activities Committee have been doing over the last few years by clicking on the "Parents' Committee" icon on the left hand side of the page)

The pupils of 5th and 6th class have been tuning up their singing in preparation for the taping of a CD in early October. This project is part of a
Comenius Programme we have running with schools in Galicia in northern Spain and in Manchester. The completed CD will be available for sale at Christmas. In fact the CD will have an accompanying DVD as Galician TV is making a documentary of the links programme for airing at Christmas in Spain.

Please log on to our school website regularly to find out what is happening in the school. Your support is essential and very welcomed.

Yours sincerely,

Vaughan Dodd
