Our International Pupils

Inter-Culturalism > Interculturalism Archive

The past number of years has seen a growing number of pupils from other countries attending St. Cronan’s School. We now have pupils from countries such as Poland, The Philippines, Mongolia, Australia, China and Lithuania, to mention just a few. The boys and their families have contributed to the enrichment of our school life.

Benjo Mercado brought in a Parol, which is traditional Christmas decoration from the Philipinnes. He told the classes that it is a tradition that families make these Parols together, and that they are displayed in the windows of the house around Christmas time. He was accompanied on his tour of the classes by Jan Dale Salazar and Glynn Jones. They said that sometimes people put a light in the centre of the Parol to make it shine.
